Technical Requirements

What type of device can I use to take an ATS Ed+ product?

We recommend that you take these courses on a laptop, desktop or tablet. The devices can use Windows, Apple or Android operating systems. Although it’s technically feasible to take these courses on a phone, it is not recommended. Many of the courses are text-based and could be difficult to read on a smaller screen.

You may use Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox browsers, but we do recommend using the most updated version of Chrome.

Purchasing an ATS Ed+ Product

If you are trying to make a purchase and need assistance, please contact customer support.

How long do I have access to my purchases?

Most ATS Ed+ products offer continuing medical education credit (CME and/or MOC). The date that you can no longer earn credit for completing that product is listed in the product’s description on the right side of the Overview tab.

When you purchase an ATS Ed+ product, you are purchasing access for a maximum of one year. When ATS can no longer offer credits for that product, ATS may opt to:

  • Continue to allow access to the product without credit for a period of time, or
  • The product may no longer be available for you to access once credits are no longer available.

After you purchase a product, you will receive reminder emails 30, 7 and 1 day before your ability to earn credit expires and before your access to the course expires. These emails will remind you to complete the course before these dates.

Can I cancel my purchase and receive a refund?

You may cancel your purchase and receive a refund within 30 days after purchase, if you have not launched or earned credit for the learning activity that you purchased.

To cancel a purchase and receive a refund:

  1. Log into the ATS Store.
  2. In the upper-right corner of the screen, press My Account. You will see your order history.
  3. The order numbers appear in boxes. Press the order number with the learning activity you want to cancel.
  4. On the Order screen, press Cancel next to the learning activity you no longer want.
  5. You will see a pop-up that says the order will be cancelled shortly. Click through that message.
  6. You should receive a purchase cancellation email.
  7. The next time you log into ATS Ed+, that activity will no longer be available to take.

Taking Learning Activities

Where do I access an activity that I have purchased?

On the ATS Ed+ Homepage, purchased activities that you have not yet completed, appear in the Current Activities list. To start an activity, press its title.

If you do not see your desired activity on the Homepage, press My Learning at the top of the page, then select Activities.

I don’t see the activity I purchased in my Current Activities list.

If you purchased an activity and don’t see it in your Current Activities list, take the following steps.

  1. Try the browser's Reload button (clockwise circle icon).
  2. If you still don't see the activity, log out, then log back in.

A pop-up blocker stopped me from accessing my activity. How do I resolve this?

Interactive modules launch in a pop-up window. After you start your Learning Activity, when it’s time to launch the interactive module, you will see a Launch button. After pressing the Launch button, you may see a “Popup blocked” message and another Launch course button. To start the module, press the Launch course button.

If the module does not open, then disable popup blockers for thoracic.org in your browser. The steps to do this vary by browser, so search for “disable pop-up blockers in” [your browser name] to find the instructions for your particular browser.

If you are taking this activity on your organization’s computer, you may need to contact your IT department to allow popups for thoracic.org.
